| The Taskforce for Humanity Coalition is organizing the Visions of a Better World Conference (www.suntfprogams.iwarp.com) and we are seeking sponsors for this one of a kind event which is sure to generate media interest. Sponsors will be included in a catalog whose working title is "Circle of Humanitarians: supporting one another". This catalog will be distributed to guests at the conference and can also be used after the conference. The concept behind the Catalog is to encourage the progressive community to support one another by giving their business and support to other progressive organizations and individuals. It can also be used as a way to identify other likeminded groups and potential collaborators. Sponsors will also receive a link on the conference website along with 3 free admissions to the conference. Sponsorship forms are on the website under “co-create this conference”. Time is running out! Deadline for sumission of copy is September 1, 2009. The purpose of the conference is to inspire a humanitarian consciousness and to motivate people to make a personal contribution to creating a better, more compassionate, world. It will be held at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, on October 10, 2009. We are expecting 2-400 participants in this day long event. Our Keynote Speaker is John A. Uzzi, motivational speaker and winner of the Governor's Award for Volunteer Leadership in 2004. Victor DeLuca, Mayor of Maplewood will be delivering an address during the opening ceremonies. We will have 36 workshops during the course of the day, all aimed at inspiring people “do something,” however small, to create a better world. We have workshop presenters from as far away as North Carolina, and we currently have 18 local sponsors who have donated funds to this conference. Thanks to a generous donation from the Educare Foundation (www.educarecharity.org), we will be sponsoring an essay contest for Juniors and Seniors from an area High School. The subject of the essay will be “What is Your Vision of a Better World?” The winners will be announced at the conference. We also plan to distribute give-aways as random acts of kindness. Please be sure to visit the website at www.suntfprograms.iwarp.com which contains detailed information about the conference. It is not our goal to make money from this event. Any monies collected will be used to cover our expenses. If we have money left over, it will either be used for another conference or given away as donations, or a combination of both.
